So… some jerk ended up slamming my site with downloads for XPize, a program that I offered to mirror for Xpero over at MSFN.org. Over the course of this past weekend alone, someone went through 68GB of bandwidth… that’s not cool.
So yes… I’ve been neglecting this site… It seems Dreamhost had a bit of a hiccup with one of their switches a couple of days ago, so if you couldn’t see the site, that’s why.
In the process of looking up that information, I found out some pretty funny information about my hosting. The server that does the PHP is called ‘ritz”, and the server that does my MySQL is called “tramp”. I guess you could say my hosting package should be called “The tramp on the ritz”.
Anyways… I’m halfway done my exams. That’s the main reason why I haven’t written much here lately. I’ve got 8 in total. The 4 so far have been alright – I just need to pass everything to get through this term, and thereby my degree. Wish me luck…
I’ve installed a new plugin onto my site (you may or may not have noticed it) called Bad Behavior. It’s designed to keep the baddies out so that you guys can keep enjoying this site. It’s very simple to add to WordPress, so if you’re running a blog or a CMS, you should look into adding it to your site.
So… I decided to install phpBB on here, just for the heck of it and get a simple forum up and running. It’s not much, but if you ever want to find a place to ask a question or chat or something, just sign up for an account and post away.
So… my photo gallery got messed up recently due to a change in the file system at DreamHost… things are back up and running now, but it’s just a pain in the ass to have to sort it out again.
On the bright side, things are a little better organized now, and I have some incentive to learn how the Gallery theming system works, so I can make it a little bit more… mine.
Keep an eye out there. I’ll be trying to post up more pictures as time goes on.
